The 24-hour race will consist of road biking, gravel biking, and mountain biking on some excellent trail systems. The paddling section will include 12 miles of guided whitewater rafting, featuring several rapids. The trekking will take racers across a variety of trail types and off-trail checkpoints. There are plenty of route options to reach different transition areas for resupply, with access to several towns along the way. Biking will vary between trail systems, road, and gravel, offering diverse terrain throughout the race.
The 12-hour race is an action-packed, single-day version of our 24-hour Adventure Race. Designed for all ability levels, this race will have participants exploring the beautiful New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas by mountain bike, trekking, and guided whitewater rafting. Elite teams will find the course adventurous and challenging, while all teams will enjoy the stunning scenery as they push themselves with teamwork and motivation toward the finish line.
