Length: 6 Hours or 12 Hours

Shenandoah River State Park, nestled in the shadows of Skyline Drive, is home to a race that will push you to your limits, bending but not breaking you. This race features an exhilarating river paddle (Class I - II Whitewater) and fantastic mountain biking on a smooth-flowing MTB trail with challenging climbs and rewarding downhill sections. If you’re up for the challenge, our 12-hour adventure race is one of our most demanding events. For the 6-hour race, we’ve designed a course that offers beginner-to-advanced racers the chance to take the next step in adventure racing.

If you’re up for the challenge, our 12-hour adventure race is one of our most demanding events. Once the race begins, you’ll have 12 hours to gather as many points as possible. The course offers multiple route options, and racers will receive a pre-plotted map for the trekking, biking, and water sections.

The 6-hour race is perfect for those looking to elevate their adventure racing skills. The course will offer opportunities to run, bike, paddle, and navigate through Shenandoah River State Park. The estimated distance for the 6-hour race is around 15-20 miles, broken down into approximately 3 miles of paddling, 3-6+ miles of trekking, and 4-8+ miles of mountain biking. Like the 12-hour race, this course features various route options, and racers will have pre-plotted maps. If you’re new to adventure racing and want to challenge yourself with a longer race, the 6-hour event is the perfect opportunity.

Lodging

Shenandoah River State Park has cabins and camping spots as lodging options.
